Bali Catamarans Bali 4.8 - 6 + 2 cab. s 6 Kabine - Katamaran (2021) - Titan

Izvrsno We took a group of 11 from the UK, a mix of parents and early 20s kids, for a week from Trogir around the usual islands (Solta, Hvar, Pakleni, Vis, Brac). Our 2021 Bali 4.8 Titan was a very good boat, no really big problems. Air con worked well from generator. Saloon and galley space was huge - cabins / bedrooms comfortable. The local charter agent Angelina did a good job - they provided someone to assist with the check in and answered all our questions and had the boat ready quite early for us. They also sent a RIB around the island bays and tried to help us out when we had a problem with smell in some cabins (maybe toilet-based smell). Two significant issues: 1) these cats do not sail well in higher winds unless the mainsail is reefed - we should have been told this during check in (they get very heavy weather Helm above 15Kts which makes the boat unsailable). The Angelina team should tell all skippers this info for safety reasons. 2) when we returned the boat the marina diver did an inspection of the underwater parts (which is normal practice) and said there was damage to the rudder. We were shown photos and the damage was clear - someone in the past had touched a rock going astern. But we were NEVER in shallow water at any point during our charter and did not go close to any shores. We had no problems with boat handling in the marinas and harbours and definitely did not touch anything. We know we would have felt this contact and damage at the time. The problem is that the diver photos from the previous weekend which were taken after the previous charter and before our checkin were not saved and could not be made available to show to us. So it was impossible to show how old the damage was. The fee for the damage was €150 and in the end we had no choice but to pay. Not a huge cost but the principle of assuming fault without evidence felt wrong. But overall this was a great boat and Angelina team were very good. Responsive, helpful, well-prepared. The systems on the boat worked well, it had modern Chartplotter (Raymarine) with good quality charts, all instruments worked well, helm position on the flybridge was very good with decent visibility of the bow and stern starboard corners.
