Bavaria Cruiser 32 with 2 Cabins - Sailing Yacht (2013) - DANIELLE

Poor Tubber claims they only work with good partners but this yacht charter company, after better research, has a very questionable reputation. The boat had new sails but also the necessary defects that I am almost certain the charter company knew about for a long time. The plotter is hopelessly old and virtually unusable, the wind meter is a loose device with dead batteries. The autopilot did not work. There was no working anchor light and the buttons of the anchor light on the control panel were connected to the deck light (deliberately) which during anchoring drained the battery almost single-handedly apart from the fact that this is not supposed to be and you are seen as incompetent. The deck shower was so leaky that the water in the engine bilge flowed into the sleeping cabin along with the oil. The toilet/bathroom stank and the valves were in great need of replacement. The dock staff was extremely friendly and the owner was surly but otherwise did not give us a hard time as can be read in other people's reviews. Next time I will look more closely at (more) reviews on other sites than are listed here to judge the quality of the charter company and boats.
