Flotilla Guidance
Of course, a successful sailing holiday depends on the weather, the sun, the sea, and professional flotilla guidance.
In addition to cosiness, safety is, of course, essential during your sailing holiday. During this flotilla, you will be guided by local Italians that live in the area and, therefore, are able to show you the most exclusive places. Every day you receive an extensive briefing about the weather, the route, and the nice places where you can have lunch or swim.
There is no fixed flotilla guidance during these weeks, so that may vary, but they are all looking forward to giving you a great experience in Italy.

Day 1
Arrival Salerno
The first day you arrive in Salerno. You can easily reach the harbour by car, and if you come by plane, you can reach Salerno in less than 40 minutes from Naples airport. We can arrange a transfer for you if needed. The first day you can recover from the trip and explore the city of Salerno before you embark on your flotilla sailing adventure in Italy. Check-in on the boat is at the end of the afternoon, you will also meet your flotilla guides then. In the evening you can have dinner together with the other participants or eat on your yacht. We will spend the first night in the marina of Salerno.
Day 2
Salerno - Acciaroli
We depart Salerno in the morning and sail to Acciaroli (about 32 nm), one of the most beautiful villages on the Cilento Coast. Along the way we stop at Punta Licosa or Ogliastro for a swim, lunch and some relaxation. In the evening we moor in charming Acciaroli.
Day 3
Acciaroli - Palinuro (Buondormire Bay)
Today we sail to Palinuro and the breathtaking Buondormire Bay (about 15 nm). Tucked between steep cliffs and lush vegetation, this pristine wilderness is only accessible by boat. Clear water, a relaxing atmosphere and an enchanting landscape — we spend the night at anchor in the bay.
Day 4
Buondormire Bay - Scario
We enjoy the morning in Buondormire Bay. In the afternoon we sail to Scario (about 12 nm), where we spend the evening in the cosy harbour.
Day 5
Scario - Infreschi Bay - Marina di Camerota
We sail to Infreschi Bay (about 5 nm), one of the most beautiful bays in the Tyrrhenian Sea and part of the Cilento Park nature reserve, where anchoring is only allowed at a buoy. We spend the morning in the bay and sail along the coast after lunch. In the evening we moor in Marina di Camerota (about 4 nm) and dine at a typical restaurant with delicious, authentic local food.
Day 6
Marina di Camerota - Pioppi
Today we sail to Pioppi (about 18 nm). Along the way we stop at Palinuro or Ascea for a swim and lunch before ending the day in peaceful Pioppi.
Day 7
Pioppi - Salerno
We set course back to Salerno (about 35 nm), with a final stop at Punta Licosa for a swim and lunch. At the end of the day we check out in the harbour of Salerno.
Day 8
Check-out in Salerno
It's time to say goodbye to your new friends and hand back the boat. If your flight departs after 2:00 p.m., there's the option to visit Pompeii on your way home.

From where does the Cilento Coast flotilla depart?
The departure base is from Salerno, a beautiful city south of Naples. It is best to fly to Naples (Napoli). From there, you can take a taxi to Salerno. Tubber can also help you arrange a transfer to the port with our new service.
When does the Cilento Coast flotilla sail?
For 2027, two departures are scheduled: Saturday 17 July and Saturday 24 July (each 7 days from Salerno). For really up-to-date availability, it is always best to contact one of our Tubber sailing holiday experts personally.
Do I need a boat license to participate in a flotilla?
No, you do not necessarily need a license to sail in a flotilla. For example, you can also hire a skipper to do the sailing. Not everywhere in Italy is it mandatory to have a License I or License II if you want to sail yourself. But landlords might ask for it. In most cases, a certificate (CV) with sailing experience is sufficient.
Is the Cilento Coast flotilla suitable for children?
Yes, of course! The ages of the children in the Tubber flotillas along the Cilento Coast range from 6 to 23 years old, with a focus on the age group 12 - 19 years old.
What are the average daily distances of this flotilla?
Most days involve relatively short, relaxed distances (about 1 to 4 hours). The longer legs are at the start and end of the week: the passage from Salerno to the Cilento area (about 32 nm) and back (about 35 nm). These are always subject to the weather conditions and the wishes of the group, of course.
Which villages, bays and ports will the Cilento Coast flotilla visit?
You sail from Salerno along the unspoilt Cilento Coast. Along the way you visit places such as Acciaroli, Palinuro with the secluded Buondormire Bay, Scario, Infreschi Bay and Marina di Camerota, and the peaceful village of Pioppi.
Do I sail independently in a flotilla or always with the group?
In the Tubber flotilla along the Cilento Coast, you sail under the pleasure and ease of an experienced mothership. You are not expected to constantly sail with the group. Feel free to take a dip in a self-discovered bay, for example.
