Very Good Sailing area Sporades (aka the Mamma Mia islands: Skiathos, Skopelos, Alonissos): plenty of bays, smaller villages/ports, larger harbors; beautiful islands (also to rent a car for a day), not too crowded in second week of September, almost no Dutch people (no direct flights to Skiathos), mostly wind force 3 - 5 (unfortunately we had less wind on most days). The floating pier of Skiathos is too short for all boats, so if you come back to your home port on Friday late in the afternoon you are not at the pier but have to climb over 4 boats (and have no power). In short: sailing area is recommended. Yacht: we sailed fine, comfortable and safe, but still many "wear and tear things" after only almost 2 season in use. Nothing critical, but you don't expect it from a 2023 yacht. Solar panels didn't work. The infamous Bavaria knobs on the cabinets have been stuck a lot, again. Quite a few damage spots on the hull (not bad and no hassle). Autopilot unstable (needs adjustment). Air conditioning sounds good, but in most ports (e.g. Skiathos) there is too little power available and it turns off after a few minutes (and starts beeping irritatingly). Fans in the sleeping cabins are not available, so bringing your own is recommended. Good equipment (including sup board!) - but do check the number of glasses (we only had 1 wine glass). Port crew helpful and quick.
