Bavaria 42 Cruiser with 3 Cabins - Sailing Yacht (2007) - Iro (Pax 7)

Very Good The boat is roomy and sails well but she is a bit old and tired (bit like me) and there were a few shortcommings such as weak service battery and old rusty fridge but I think that the weekly charter price reflects this. Only a small thing but I dont understand why there is no cockpit light; even a battery unit would be better than nothing. BTW The local agency BLE Yachting were friendly and helpful.

Very Good The sailboat was in very mediocre to poor condition. Many things were broken or dirty, such as the interior and in the wet areas. The sailboat was also in moderate to poor condition on the outside. My clothes (shorts 1x and 2x swim trunks) had black streaks from weathered sealant on the teak deck (seating area near steering wheels). What are we going to do about this? In addition, the rental company Ble Yachting is not really customer friendly and I am talking especially about the delivery of the sailboat on 21-09-2024 and especially when returning the sailboat on 28-09-2024. When returning the sailboat I even had a collision with 1 of the employees (Alex) of Ble Yachting. This Alex stormed onto the boat without introducing himself or asking if he could come onto the boat to check. No, he walked into the cabins, sat on our bed and clothes with his dirty clothes and also dropped a my powerbank, without making excuses. He also checked parts of the sailboat (door handles, hinges of doors) that were unremarkable. In short, a not so nice end to a beautiful sailing vacation in itself. We also reported this to Ble Yachting's office. In the future no more sailboat for me through Ble Yachting, Bax Yachting was much better in its service and friendliness.

Very Good Boat met expectations. Pillows of the berths were new, however, very hard. Fans in the cabins would be very nice. Unfortunately the jib tore on the 2nd day, due to a sharp protrusion from the deck light. This should be fixed, in my opinion to prevent this again in the future. Replacement of the jib was fortunately done quickly, so we had no delay of the vacation. Attachment points of the dinghy need repair and rope. Otherwise a fine boat, for the age of the boat.
