Terrible I rented this boat for two weeks from Stefanos Gkoumotsios. I had read some of the negative experiences of other customers on this site, and others. There were no other yachts of this size available so I still decided to rent this yacht and prepare myself as well as possible. The experience was very unpleasant for the following reasons: • In the initial briefing, he tried to make me sign a deposit form that he had pre-filled with the statement "no damage at all". This was after I had pointed out numerous existing damages. He was very aggressive and dismissive during the entire damage checking process, and was certainly not going to point out existing damages himself. I made detail pictures of all damages I noticed, and had to insist on including them in the initial damage assessment document. In the end he agreed to me sending those pictures on whatsapp, and would ONLY include those for the damage assessment after the charter. Unfortunately I missed rope chafe on the rubber at the stern. I did have a general video of the boat that included the rope chafe, but was unable to include this video on whatsapp due to data limits. • He also tried to make me sign the document about the amount of "deposit withheld" BEFORE the charter, that should be signed after the charter. After the charter it became very apparent why he tried to do that. When I pointed out that this part should not be signed now, he backed off. I don't think he did this by mistake because he fills out this form with every charter. • When you ask about critical safety features, like positions of the seacocks, Stefanos is aggressive and says 'Don't touch.' • The deposit being in cash greatly weakens your position as a client in case of a dispute, which there will be. During sailing, I noticed the following issues with the boat: • The house batteries are very weak. You can't run the shower -or bilge pumps unless you have shore power. You can't run the fridge at night. Running the engine to power these appliances is no use because it only starts charging the house batteries after more than 30 minutes or so. • Front toilet floods badly while sailing. Unfortunately the batteries are too weak to pump the flooding. In the end I closed the seacocks despite Stefanos's warnings to not touch them. • Steaming light did not work when we had to motor in the dark due to a medical emergency. If your anchor drags at night and you have to move this is a problem as well. • Gas pressure regulator is broken. The gas tank locker always smells of gas. Gas lines inside the cabin look worn out. • Rigging problems. Mainsail halyard was connected in a way that it was tightly wrapped around the topping lift, cutting that line. This also made raising the sail very hard. I unwrapped them, but the topping lift may be damaged causing the boom to come down. There are also some other rigging issues, albeit less critical. • Mooring light leaks current to mast. Because of this, the mooring light is very weak and the battery gets drained. Also, you get electric shocks if you touch the metal railing when your feet are in the water with the mooring light on. • The SUP that he charges 150 euros for leaks air. Be sure to pump it just before you return or he'll probably make you pay for it. • Emergency stop of outboard does not work. • The sails are very worn out. Be careful because they will probably rip easily, especially in combination with the bad rigging. Anyway, I dealt with these problems and decided not to let it ruin our holiday. I also tried to stay friendly with Stefanos despite his aggression. However, on return Stefanos pointed out rope chafe on the rubber protection of the stern that I had overlooked when I arrived. I did have that general video taken by my friend of the boat before we left port. The video clearly shows this damage was pre-existent, and it's very clear that this video was taken BEFORE the charter by direction of sunlight, weather conditions and the people present on the boat. Stefanos refused to look at this and started screaming at me when I brought this up. He withheld 300 euros on our deposit for this damage that we did not make. When I refused to sign the final document that indicates I agree with his withholding of the deposit, he got extremely angry and threatening. He also had a man standing by on shore. He was then also going to withhold the remaining 1700 euros. In the end I did sign to get it over with. I'm very sure that if I did not take so many pictures before we left, above water and under water, he would have scammed me out of a lot more money. Do not rent this boat. Go with one of the bigger agencies. If you do rent this boat, do the following: • Take a lot of time to take pictures of everything. Insist that the damage on your pictures are included on the check in document. Include an all around inside - and outside video just in case you miss any damages (there are many). • Also take pictures underwater using an underwater camera and a good underwater light. • Be very careful when he makes you put a signature anywhere. Don't let him rush you.

Terrible We rented this boat from Stefanos. Please note in advance that you have to bring €2000 cash for the deposit. Before you leave the port, take pictures of everything! This guy tries to scam you where you stand. Fortunately, we had taken pictures beforehand and we were therefore able to leave the boat with the €2000 deposit in our pocket, without pictures this would most likely not have succeeded. On board is no decent navigation, bring your phone with Navionics on it. The cleaning costs, according to Tubber €150,- turns out to be €170,- upon arrival. For this amount you expect the boat to be clean, this was not so, the cutlery drawer and pans were downright dirty. We also experienced the check-in and check-out as very annoying. We have enjoyed renting a boat from Tubber for about 6 years. This year we completely failed, Tubber also deserves an insufficient here, in our opinion.
