Flotilla Sailing from Fethiye

Flotilla sailing in Turkey starts in Fethiye and you will never regret coming here!

Flotilla sailing in the Fethiye area is a great alternative to ports such as Marmaris or Bodrum.

Fethiye is a beautiful town on the Aegean coast, with beautiful ruins in the old part of the city, like the old castle. It has a modern harbor, which is hidden against the mountainside.

Fethiye is a good example of the ports in Turkey: they are clean and run by professional staff.

Sailing Turkey

From Fethiye, you sail short distant trips to Göcek, Kalkan, Kas, or Kekova Roads, known for the sarcophagi.

As a result, the coastline that will be visited during the flotilla will be experienced as an ancient and cultural trip! Experience the local Turks' beauty and hospitality during this wonderful flotilla in the south-west of Turkey!

The climate in Turkey is comparable to Greece, sometimes slightly warmer and with dry summers. The wind force is between 4 and 6 Beaufort and the cooling breeze makes Turkey a wonderful place to go for your perfect flotilla sailing holiday!

Example route

This route is an example route. The route can be changed based on factors like the weather.

Day 1

Arrival Fethiye
The first day you arrive in Fethiye, you can first relax from your trip. Get on board your yacht and get acquainted with the people of the flotilla. Today we are not going to set sail, so you also have time to explore Fethiye and do some shopping. Later in the evening, we go out for dinner at one of the restaurants.

Day 2

Fethiye - Kapı Creek
Sunday morning we start with a briefing in the MOD restaurant in the harbour. Here the flotilla leader runs briefly through the route, the destination for today, what the weather looks like and other things worth knowing. We leave on our yachts and sail to Kapi Creek. Its the first day, so everybody first needs to get used to their yachts. After a while, we sail to our destination of the day. We arrive at a sheltered bay in the middle of a forest. Kapi Creek is one of the many bays that can only be reached by boat. Here we can explore the beautiful surroundings. There are old ruins which you can reach within an hour by foot. If you don't fancy a long walk, then you can always relax on your yacht and enjoy this beautiful scenery. In the evening we go for a nice dinner in a cosy restaurant, ashore.

Day 3

Kapi Creek -  Fathom Cove
Today we have a short trip from Kapi Creek to Fathom Cove. If you want to sail a little more, that's not a problem - we've got the time. In the evening, we meet up and enjoy a calm evening with fantastic hosts. Be careful with the scaffolding, which is a bit crooked.

Day 4

Fathom Cove - Cold Water Bay
Today we sail 17 nautical miles to Cold Water Bay. A name that fits the bay perfectly, because the water is a lot colder. Why? Well, it is because of a cold water source on this island, which flows directly into the sea. We moor at the quay of the restaurant. Here we enjoy the delicious food and the fantastic view over the bay.

Day 5

Cold Water Bay - Tomb Bay
In the morning, we sail. Our next destination is one of the beautiful bays that can only be reached by boat. When we enter the bay, you see the Lycian rock tombs, an extraordinary sight. In the evening, we enjoy the hospitality and delicious food at the restaurant. Later in the evening, we gather around a campfire with a drink in our hands and talk about the adventures of this week.

Day 6

Tomb Bay - Sarsala
From Tomb Bay, we have only a short distance to sail to one of our favourite bays, Sarsala. With only a distance of 3 nautical miles, we quickly reach our destination. The water is beautifully blue, and the food in the restaurant is delicious. The entire bay looks like a beautiful painting. You can have an even better view of this bay when you take a short walk up the mountain. From here, you'll have a picture of the whole scenery - a picture-worthy look!

Day 7

Sarsala - Fethiye
It is the last day of the flotilla. The last few days, we have seen a lot and enjoyed our yachts. Fortunately, we still have a long sailing trip back to Fethiye. Back in Fethiye, we'll eat together once more and look back on a great adventure on the water. Tonight, there is also time to discover the rest of the city before we enjoy one last night on our boats.
