Yes, all flotillas offer opportunities for both young children and young adults. The east side along the Ionian Sea is slightly calmer regarding wind and water, and ideal for sailing with (young) children! Furthermore, there is much to do and many opportunities for young adults to indulge in the many entertainment venues.

What are the average daily distances of the flotilla in Greece?

The average daily distances during all the Greek flotillas are between 10 and 30 miles (ca. 48 km). Longer distances are often planned outside the high season (when fewer children travel). Of course, this is all subject to weather conditions and the group's wishes.

Do I sail independently in a flotilla Sailing Holiday or always with the group?

In the flotilla, you sail under the pleasure and convenience of an experienced mothership; you are not expected to constantly sail with the group. Feel free to take a dip in a self-discovered bay.

What is a cabin charter sailing holiday?

If you have little to no sailing experience or aren't yet experienced enough to stand behind the steering wheel independently, we also offer cabin charter holidays. You sail aboard the mothership in the flotilla, alone or with family/friends. So you can board and join them on their yacht, alone or with your family or friends, and sail along.

What does your day look like when you join a cabin charter from Athens?

This varies a lot because every day looks different. However, it could look like this: In the morning, the flotilla leaders and/or your skippers are often busy. They help the other boats on their way and tell them where the journey will take them that day. For you, this means a moment for yourself until they're ready themselves. So grab breakfast on a terrace, swim, or shop. When all or most of the boats have sailed, you leave too. The flotilla leader will regularly be the last to leave but would like to be the first to return to its destination to assist the other flotilla yachts again with mooring. During the day you will often sail around 4 to 5 hours, possibly dropping anchor in between for a refreshing dive or snorkelling session. The destination is, therefore, different every day. Once in a beautiful village or city, you will spend the night in a clear blue bay. The group will regularly have a bite to eat together in the evening, which is also a nice moment for the children present to meet again.
