Beneteau Oceanis 45 with 4 Cabins - Sailing Yacht (2018) - Ayther - Standard line

Poor All the elements for a top holiday were there: great weather, good company, top food, culture, etc. Our goal was carefree sailing following previous sailing holidays. Checkin went mega smoothly and on the quay everyone was very helpful. we deliberately booked a slightly younger boat in the hope of having fewer problems. Unfortunately, after sailing out of the harbour, we found that this boat had been treated lovelessly over the past few years. We took >20 photos of minor/major damages, bowtruster did not work, equipment hiccuped every time, one refrigerator malfunctioned and the cleanliness in the boat was also questionable. The base manager could only be reached once out of 9 attempts. Anchor winch broke down which was repaired en route, forcing us to stay in port for a day, a pity. The flotilla leader was a very friendly Italian from the region; so our expectation was that this would all be very flexible. Unfortunately, the opposite turned out to be the case: briefings were a list of things that were NOT possible and suggestions of bays and anchorages were minimal. Life at sea makes up for a lot, including this trip, but unfortunately it did not live up to expectations.
