Other Sunsail 424/4/4 - 2024

Having sailed mono hulls around the Ionian for 7 years the catamaran was very spacious with 9 persons on board. Plenty of areas to separate off or sit together and plenty of shade. The boat had a good sail area and picked up well in wind. Handling very easy. Unfortunately had a few air con issues and switches tripping despite the yacht only being 18 month old . Other than that great value for money booking through Tubber and great communication throughout the process. Needless to say have immediately booked for next year !

Fountaine Pajot Isla 40 - 2022

A lovely catamaran. Everything went smoothly at check-in. We encountered a few minor issues en route, but these were quickly resolved after a phone call. We had a lovely sail in the Lefkada area. Check-out was also straightforward. All in all, we were very satisfied with the charter company.

Beneteau Oceanis 46.1 (5 cab) - 2019

The base team in Porto Rosso were great – competent, punctual and knowledgeable! The yacht was delivered in good condition and as agreed. Dear Tubber, your selection of the companies from which you source the yachts is exceptionally reliable. Thank you.

Hanse 410 - 2025

All in all, everything went well. The on-site service was good and focused on finding solutions.

Beneteau Oceanis 37.1 - 2024

Everything was sorted perfectly through Tubber with the charter company Blue Memories. The staff on site were friendly. Whenever we had any questions, they answered the phone within 10 seconds. They even helped us manoeuvre back into the narrow berths at Lefkas Marina. Absolutely brilliant…

Dufour 430 Grand Large - 2023

A wonderful trip. Fyly, our charter company, provided excellent support throughout the trip. Unfortunately, the boat was poorly maintained and rather run-down. The equipment was minimal. The Cyclades more than made up for it.

Beneteau Oceanis 40.1 - 2023

We had a lovely sailing holiday on this beautiful boat. Check-in and check-out went smoothly. Everything on board was fine.

Beneteau Oceanis 38.1 - 2017

We had a lovely holiday! Departure took longer than expected because the staff were still busy with other boats, but once check-in was complete, we set off without a hitch. We didn’t encounter any problems along the way. On our return, the staff gave us another warm welcome and we were able to hand the boat back quickly. In terms of facilities, the boat has exactly what you’d expect. It’s not a new boat, but it has everything you need.

Elan Impression 45 - 2018

The sailing boat has excellent sailing characteristics in both light and heavy weather. In this region around Athens (as far as Astros), this means you can visit many different locations, giving you plenty of flexibility in choosing where you want to go. Personally, we found the anchor chain a bit on the short side (50m). It was also a pity that the service battery had to be recharged every two days via a shore power connection in the harbour. We were used to the service batteries also being charged via the engine’s alternator. All in all, we had a brilliant holiday once we’d adapted our itinerary to the new circumstances, and we did so on a reliable and safe sailing boat.

Bavaria Cruiser 40 Voyager - 2013

A warm welcome and clear instructions. The boats are moored to the quay with mooring lines, which is more convenient than an anchor chain. The boat was in excellent condition for its age. A new dinghy and electric outboard motor were included for €160 for two weeks. That was a bonus. A faulty plotter was replaced the same day. The boat has a fixed gangway. All in all, a great boat for our two-week sailing holiday, arranged by Tubber in a pleasant and clear manner.

Beneteau Oceanis 41 - 2013

Overall, ARCHON provided good, friendly after-sales service, and the boat itself is comfortable and sails well. Unfortunately, there were three major issues with the boat. The electric control for the platform had been removed, so the platform had to be wound up using the winch. The batteries were worn out. The outboard motor would start but kept cutting out. We had to return to a harbour three times to replace the batteries and to have the outboard motor repaired and subsequently replaced. ARCHON should have tested everything before handing over the boat (we had it for the first week).

Bavaria C42 - 2022

We enjoyed a lovely week of fine weather on a boat that sailed well. We do, however, have a few comments to make about the condition the boat was in when we took it over. The boat had only been cleaned to a mediocre standard, but of course you don’t want to start complaining straight away. The cutlery consisted of knives, forks and spoons, but there were no serving spoons, no kitchen knives and no glasses other than thick beer glasses. You wouldn’t want to drink a glass of wine like that. There was a coffee filter, but no (thermos) jug to make the coffee in. (These items were provided when we asked for them, but should, of course, simply have been on board). There was only one lid for a very small saucepan, not for the other pans. We only realised this when we wanted to cook something the next day. There was a considerable amount of water in the bilge, which we were told was normal and came from the air conditioning. In previous boats we’d hired, there was no water at all, so that was a strange answer. There was a foul smell in both bathrooms, but we thought it would clear up once we’d started using the boat. It turned out later that the drains were blocked. During the week itself, we followed the instructions to the letter and did not flush any paper down the toilet (we own a boat ourselves and know all about it), and we always operated the levers to empty the tanks whilst out in open water. When we returned the boat, we were accused of being responsible for one of the two blockages. We didn’t accept that, and after a phone call with the boss, we didn’t have to pay the blockage fee after all. It was particularly (unhygienic) to see the gentlemen from Yacht4You using the hose intended for filling the fresh water tanks to clear the blockage in the waste water tanks. Defects: The underwater light wasn’t working. On returning to the harbour, we were told that it wasn’t fitted at all. This is, however, mentioned on the website. The anchor light wasn’t working. Neither was the light on the port-side compass. The shower door in the aft bathroom rattled throughout the entire trip. There was a small hole in the wall where a clamp must once have been fitted. The gentlemen carrying out the final inspection did not seem inclined to do anything about this for the next customer. In the photos on the website, you can see four grey cushions in the cockpit, so you can lean against something. There wasn’t a single one, and when we asked for them, it turned out to be quite a hassle. Eventually two turned up, along with a third one that was completely different. We just had to make do with those. All in all, we had a great week on a boat that sailed well. It’s a shame that, as customers, we had to go to so much trouble to get what you’d normally expect when hiring a boat like this. Previous sailing holidays in Kaštela and Zadar were much simpler, better equipped and cleaner.

Jeanneau Sun Odyssey 35 - 2003

We had a perfect 2 week sailing trip on Kama, a fully equipped and very well maintained sailboat (new engine and sails). Perfect ‘smaller’ boat for us sailing as a couple but also recommended for 4 people imho. The owner explained us everything and supported us with a small technical issue during the trip. Athenian Yacht service also impeccable and trustworthy.

Bavaria C46 - 2025

Everything was well organised. Tubber’s support was excellent. The boat was great and the welcome we received from the charter company at the harbour was relaxed and friendly.

Jeanneau Sun Loft 47 - 6 + 1 cab. - 2020

The staff at Dream Yacht Charter in Trogir, Croatia, were exemplary and excellent. However, the boat was too worn out and hadn’t been properly maintained. The low point was the service batteries, which were completely flat, forcing us to run the engine for hours to recharge them. When moored or at anchor, this is certainly not what you want. Furthermore, there were many issues with the boat that could be described as ‘worn out’. If you choose a Sun Loft 47, you’ll have space in the cockpit just like on a catamaran, but the sailing performance is mediocre.

Bavaria Cruiser 46 - 2024

Highlights: - A lovely, fully-equipped yacht - A very smooth check-in and check-out process (WayPoint) - A well-organised marina and assistance with departure if required Tips: - We received a notification about the holding tank being 75% full. We subsequently checked all the toilets several times, inside and out. It turned out to be a standard notification known to Bavaria. So nothing to worry about, but it does keep you occupied during the week - The anchor wasn’t really up to scratch. We got into trouble on several occasions because it didn’t hold properly. We managed to sort it out in time each time, but over the course of the week we lost confidence in the anchor. In some places we had to make up to six attempts, and even then the anchor was, for example, lying on its side and only half buried. We incurred extra costs by staying overnight in a marina instead of our preferred option of anchoring in a bay. - The mattresses were (too) thin and do not reflect the quality of the yacht. - The rubber seals on the windows were loose. Fortunately, we didn’t encounter any severe weather, but it was potentially dangerous as water could easily get in. - The first-aid kit was incomplete/not fully stocked. We had a minor accident but couldn’t rely on the kit for gauze or plasters - There are no back cushions in the cockpit, and if you’re spending a week or more on the yacht, the seating is less comfortable.

Beneteau Oceanis 41.1 - 2020

The boat is poorly rigged and is crying out for a few simple modifications that would make sailing it a lot more enjoyable. The owner has this boat on charter with Archon and gets involved in the check-in and check-out procedures... not a pleasant experience... A number of inconveniences that really shouldn’t occur for a charter costing €3,000.00.

Jeanneau Sun Odyssey 42i - 2011

On arrival at the harbour, we checked in and were given a thorough introduction. Then we had to wait for the boat to be released, which took quite a long time. They quickly went through the main points; if you had any comments, they’d say it was an old boat and that was just the way it was. We didn’t need to check the sails as they’d just been inspected; I’m not a sailor so I trusted the handover. We still had the option of sending an email within 2–3 days if anything was wrong. Soon a water pipe came loose and the bilge was full of water. I phoned straight away; they called me back and the engineer asked if I could sort it out myself in the harbour, otherwise he’d have to come all the way just for one hose clamp (it later turned out the pipe in the bathroom was loose too). The overall impression of the boat was poor: very old sails, doors that wouldn’t close, cupboards that wouldn’t close, loose toilet bowls, cracks in the fibreglass everywhere, and the bilge always had a layer of water in it. The Fotielje was very good; Pieter and Samira were very friendly and provided support and explanations where necessary. They had selected a nice route, which, given the varying wind strengths (2–6), was quite a puzzle. Then came the return of the boat; there were three of them and they thoroughly inspected the entire boat. I had a loose stitch on the jib, the mainsail had a small tear due to sheer age, and near the anchor a nut had come loose, meaning it was almost lost, but after a few phone calls to the office and a bit of banter with the inspector, this was simply overlooked. However, I heard far more unpleasant stories from others in the group, where things certainly weren’t handled in such a friendly manner. In short, I wouldn’t rent a boat from NSS (which is arranged through Tubber) a second time. But thanks to Tubber and the armchair guidance, we did have a good holiday.

Beneteau Oceanis 41.1 - 2017

The boat is a few years old and has seen plenty of use, but it sails easily and is in perfect working order. Manoeuvring in the harbour went smoothly, and the bow thruster is always handy as a backup. The base manager was also available via WhatsApp to answer any questions. The agent in Croatia was also friendly and helpful.

Bavaria C42 - 2021

Impeccable service at check-in and check-out. The base staff were professional and helpful. Base manager Nikos was on hand to help with everything…and, after discussing it with us, even arranged a taxi to take us back to the airport. The boat was very well equipped and nothing was missing. The only thing that could perhaps be improved… would be to replace the crockery, particularly the plastic cups and mugs.

Bavaria C38 - 2024

A friendly and professional welcome. The boat was exactly as described. It’s a lovely sailing boat for cruising through the Charente and Vendée.

Jeanneau Sun Odyssey 40.3 - 2002

We had a lovely week on a boat that’s obviously been around for a few years. We had a few minor issues, some of which we managed to sort out ourselves. The staff were very helpful, friendly and easy to get hold of. The boat was clean and very comfortable. The sails were old, so we didn’t sail too close to the wind, but it went fine. Respect an old lady, we really enjoyed ourselves.

Beneteau Oceanis 40.1 (3+1 cab) - 2022

We had a brilliant holiday! Great service from Tubber beforehand and from the rental company on site. Everything went smoothly. We were able to check in early, and they arranged for our groceries to be delivered early too. A lovely, well-maintained boat: everything worked perfectly.

Beneteau First 40 - 2011

'Mediterranean mooring' course to prepare for our sailing holiday in Greece. Good tips on sailing in reverse, but unfortunately there was no anchor available, even though that’s a key part of the course. We would have liked to have known that in advance.
