The English Flotilla Guidance

Of course, a successful sailing holiday depends on the weather, the sun, the sea, and the flotilla guidance. In addition to fun, safety is of course very important during the sailing holiday.

During the flotilla, professional guidance is available on the mothership, who are always ready for mooring and anchoring. These flotilla leaders may also be local skippers but will always have good English language skills. In addition, they plot the route (with input from the participants) and monitor the weather for everyone. Of course, they also enjoy it a lot themselves and are always looking forward to giving you a great experience in Croatia too.

This route is an example route. The route can be changed based on factors like the weather.

Day 1

Check in in Marina Agana
Marina Agana is a typical Croatian fishing village, made up of traditional white stone houses surrounding a sparkling Agana marina. Marina Agana is only a 20-minute drive from Split Airport. While waiting for boarding after check-in, guests can have lunch at one of the restaurants, stock up on supplies or simply head to the beach with a coffee or cocktail.
Milna town on Brač island.

Day 2

Marina Agana - Milna, Brač
Let the wind fill your sails and sail along the headland into the Adriatic Sea. You and your flotilla companions head to Brač, where you will find the small town of Milna. Milna's network of ancient streets hides some excellent shops and restaurants, so you're sure to keep your attention until it's time to move on. Swimming in the bay at the tranquil Marina Vlaska is a refreshing way to spend a hot Croatian afternoon.
Jelsa town on Hvar island.

Day 3

Milna, Brač - Jelsa, Hvar
Leave Milna and head south, manoeuvring between the islands of Šolta and Brač and southeast until you reach the island of Hvar. Cruise along Hvar's beautiful coastline dotted with rolling hills and lush forests until you reach Jelsa, nestled among mountains and tucked into a beautiful bay. Fall in love with Jelsa's old world charm and explore the picturesque waterfront. Jelsa is known for its food, so find a "konoba" (restaurant) and taste the delicious fresh seafood and local Hvar wines.

Day 4

Free sailing day
By now, you'll have brushed up on your sailing skills and feel confident enough to venture out into the Adriatic alone or in small groups. The free day of sailing is your chance to explore and see all the sights you've been meaning to visit that aren't on the flotilla route. Sail from Jelsa and head to the well-known town of Hvar. Spend the night in the busy marina of Palmiana, or grab a buoy in the southern bay of Vinogradie, dipping into the many beach clubs, for a different taste of island life. You and your crew can also choose to take a day trip to Stari Grad, a UNESCO World Heritage Site, instead. If you want to sail further seaward, the southern island of Vis is a great place to stay overnight and a chance to rack up a few blue water miles along the way.

Day 5

Bobovišća, Brač
Reunite with your flotilla companions in the sheltered village of Bobovišća. Here, cotton candy-coloured brick buildings are charmingly scattered along a peaceful coast. In the shallow harbour bay, with the help of your lead crew, raise a mooring buoy for an overnight stay and forget all worldly worries. The bay is ideal for practising jumps from the yacht, or a long swim.
Maslinica town in Šolta island.

Day 6

Maslinica, Šolta
Just west of Brač is the island of Šolta. Go to the outer western point of the green oasis of Šešula. This small and quiet village is ideal for spending a relaxing day swimming or snorkelling in the turquoise waters. Grab a mooring buoy for a restaurant in Šešula Bay and go ashore to dine at a local konoba (restaurant).

Day 7

Maslinica, Šolta - Marina Agana
Sail once more into the Adriatic, leaving Šolta Island behind as you return to Agana Marina. Think of all the fun times at the awards ceremony on the base at night. On Saturday, take some time to explore Split further, chilling out on the popular promenade or in the local markets searching for some Croatian souvenirs. Make the most of your last day and soak up as much of the atmosphere as possible before your departure back home.
