The English Flotilla Guidance

Of course, a successful sailing holiday depends on the weather, the sun, the sea and the flotilla guidance. In addition to conviviality, safety is of course critical during the sailing holiday.

During the Sardinian flotilla, professional English-speaking guidance is available on the mothership, who are always ready for mooring and anchoring. These flotilla leaders may also be residents, but will always have good English language skills. In addition, they plot the route (with input from the participants) and monitor the weather for everyone. Of course, they enjoy it a lot themselves and are always looking forward to giving you a great experience in Italy as well.

Town of Cannigione.

Day 1

Arrival at Cannigione
Start your flotilla holidays in Sardinia with a warm welcome and a refreshing drink at the base of bustling Cannigione, nestled in the northeast corner of Sardinia. Spend your first day getting to know your yacht and your new flotilla companions at the base before having the chance to explore the prosperous town, originally founded as a fishing village in the 1800s. Tonight you will sleep aboard your yacht and start your morning with a detailed yacht briefing.
Swim in the waters of Lavezzi.

Day 2

Cannigione - Lavezzi
Embark on your sail on the glittering Tyrrhenian Sea and head northwest towards the Lavezzi archipelago off the coast. Along the way, travel past the low-lying, lush island of Spargi, a rugged gem bursting with satiating natural beauty. Travel on to anchor overnight on Lavezzi Island, one of Corsica's many nature reserves. Located just southeast of Bonifacio, this uninhabited archipelago is a tranquil setting for picturesque days and starlit evenings alongside large granite boulders and pristine sandy beaches.
City on the cliff at Bonifacio.

Day 3

Lavezzi - Bonifacio - Santa Teresa
Leave the quiet archipelago of Lavezzi and head northeast towards the French mainland island of Bonifacio. This medieval town, City of Cliffs, sits on a white limestone outcrop on the south coast of Corsica. Known for its ecological efforts to conserve wild birds and other incredible flora and fauna, Bonifacio offers visitors a timeless charm with delightful cafés, old houses and sheer rock faces. Depart again for Santa Teresa, where your group will dock overnight in the harbor. Relax with a cozy happy hour on arrival and soak up the authentic vibrancy of Sardinian culture in this colourful coastal town.
Pink beaches of Budelli.

Day 4

Santa Teresa - Budelli - Santa Maria
Once outside the Santa Teresa landing stage, lift your sails and enjoy the northeast trek to Santa Maria Island. Make a stop at Budelli, one of the most beautiful islands in the Mediterranean. Located just south of Razzoli, Budelli is best known for its Spiaggia Rosa, a beautiful pink beach on the southeast coast whose unique colour comes from microscopic fragments of corals and shells. Complete the day's crossing with an easy easterly sail, and drop anchor in the incredible harbor of Santa Maria Island.
City and Port of La Maddalena.

Day 5

Santa Maria - La Maddalena
As you cruise south, you and your group will visit the quaint, quiet town of La Maddalena to dock overnight. Tonight, dine together and enjoy Sardinian coastal specialities in an authentic, delicious seafood restaurant. For breathtaking panoramic views of the Strait of Bonifacio, meander through the maze of city streets to the Guardia Vecchia viewpoint.
Luxurious port of Porto Cervo.

Day 6

La Maddalena - Porto Cervo
Travel to the southeast, and you'll soon be met by Porto Cervo, one of the most elegant seaside towns in northern Sardinia. The harbour is home to the Costa Smeralda yacht club, a glamorous marina filled with lavish yachts from the rich and famous. Mess in the playground of these billionaires and enjoy boutique shopping and fine dining in the charming village streets.
Cannigione town and beach.

Day 7

Porto Cervo - Cannigione
Return to our base in Cannigione for the last night aboard your yacht. As you make your way, admire the active Capo Ferro lighthouse, which marks the southern entrance to the Strait of Bonifacio and the Maddalena Archipelago. Complete your flotilla holidays with a group dinner at an Agritourism or a private farm. Here you can try the Sardinian speciality of suckling pig and end your holiday on the island with tasty cuisine and good company.
