The English Flotilla Guidance

Of course, a successful sailing holiday depends on the weather, the sun, the sea and the flotilla guidance. In addition to conviviality, safety is of course very important during the sailing holiday. During the Sicilian flotilla, professional English-speaking guidance is available on the mothership who are always ready for mooring and anchoring. These flotilla leaders may also be local residents, but will always have good English language skills. In addition, they plot the route (with input from the participants) and monitor the weather for everyone. Of course, they enjoy it a lot themselves and are always looking forward to giving you a great experience in Italy as well.

Portorosa waters

Day 1

Arrival at Portorosa
Start your flotilla charter with a warm welcome and refreshing drink at the beautiful Portorosa Marina, nestled in the northeast corner of Sicily. Spend the first day getting to know your yacht and getting to know fellow travelers on base before kicking back on one of Sicily's many beaches or exploring the nearby town of Tonnarella. Sleep aboard your yacht and wake up to a briefing about your yacht and flotilla.
Island Volcano from afar

Day 2

Portorosa - Vulcano
Sail to the alien island of Vulcano, named for the steamy peaks that crown the island. You anchor in Porto di Levente or Ponente Bay for good protection against easterly winds. Vulcano has a spectacular black sand beach, but the star attraction is Fossa di Vulcano. This fascinating smoldering crater is encrusted with crystals and offers epic views once you reach the top. Vulcano's south and northwest coasts are ideal for snorkeling and swimming. After a day of exploration, tempt your taste buds with mouthwatering seafood and local wines at a restaurant near the port.
Georgeous Beach on Panarea

Day 3

Vulcano - Panarea
Set sail and head to Panarea, the chicest and most picturesque of the Aeolian Islands. Cruise past the glamorous harbor town to arrive at the tranquil anchorage of Zimmari Bay for the night. Dinghy ashore to admire the sights of charming houses and browse bottegas or artists' workshops, and local boutiques. Camera in tow, climb the Punta del Corvo for exceptional panoramic views.

Day 4

Panarea - Salina
Next, depart for Salina, an island known for its lush green mountains and freshwater springs. Embrace the island's slower pace of life and choose to explore the mighty peaks (Monte Fossa delle Felci, Monte dei Porri, and Monte Rivi) at your leisure. The group will dock at night at the island's harbor and end the day's adventures with a group dinner at a local restaurant, where local seafood dishes are sure to satisfy after a wonderful day of exploration.
Rock formation of Panarea

Day 5

Salina - Filicudi
Next on our route is Filicudi, the wildest and most beautiful Aeolian island, characterized by its beautiful blue caves and a network of hiking trails. Flotilla guests have the opportunity to explore the Scoglio della Canna, a rock obelisk off the northwest coast. In Capo Graziano, a short walk southeast of the port, you will discover the remains of a prehistoric village, dating back to 1800 BC. Hiking trails allow visitors to explore the scenic interior of the island and lead to the deserted village of Zucco Grande and to Fossa Felci, a mountain in the center of the island.
Town of Lipari

Day 6

Filicudi - Lipari
We then set course for Lipari, both the largest and the oldest of the Aeolian Islands. You dock in the port of Lipari. Sip happy hour cocktails, then stroll through picturesque streets along the harbor's lively seafront.
Northern coast of Lipari

Day 7

Lipari - Portorosa
Finally, on day 7, we will head back to Portorosa for our last night on board and conclude the island hopping adventure with a group dinner.
Check-out in the ports
