During this culinary wine flotilla, you will sail along the beautiful Sicilian coastline. You will see unique islands, where it seems like you have entered another world. Enjoy panoramic views of volcanoes and other unique landscapes. Go on an expedition to find the best food and wines from this beautiful region. Culinary wine flotilla sample itinerary

Day 1: Portorosa

Immediately feel welcome in the beautiful port of Portorosa. Enjoy tasty snacks and local wines. Grab a well-deserved night's sleep on your yacht to start the sailing holiday rested. The next morning will be the first briefing with the flotilla leadership.

Day 2: From Portorosa to Vulcano

Sail towards the unique island of Vulcano and moor in the beautiful bay on the south side. The island takes you into a totally different world. On this island, you will see how strong nature can be. See the effects of the violent volcanic eruptions that have transformed this island into a fairytale landscape. Visit the Faraglione della Fabricca. Here you will find Vulcano's medicinal mud baths and natural water springs. This natural phenomenon is not to be missed during this culinary wine flotilla. Sail like a true explorer to the bays of Levente and Ponente. In the evening, enjoy a well-earned wine with delicious seafood.

Day 3: From Vulcano to Stromboli

You leave the beautiful landscape of Vulcano behind to head to the elegant island of Panarea. Here you can enjoy a delicious lunch before we continue sailing towards Stromboli. Arriving at the next destination Stromboli, you will have the opportunity to explore on your own. The active volcano will be a great view. The dark volcano with white houses at its foot is an image to remember. A half-hour walk away, you can find the observatory, where you can try the local cuisine. Here you can explore the black sand beach or relax in the small village of Ginostra. Where you can enjoy delicious sweet dishes but also products that come straight from the land.

Day 4: From Stromboli to Salina

After leaving Stromboli, you will head to the islet of Busiluzzo. This is the smallest island of the Aeolian archipelago, and here you will have a good time during a break. Next, you will sail to Salina, where you will find beautiful mountains and sparkling springs. You will end the day in a cosy local restaurant, where you can go and taste different wines. In addition, you can also visit Pollara. Here you will find a rustic snack bar, which cannot be compared to a Dutch one. Overlooking the small islands of Allicudi and Filicudi, you can relax here with snacks and the sweet malvasia wine.

Day 5: From Salina to Filicudi

Today you will head to one of the most beautiful and rugged islands in the Aeolian archipelago. Pollara is known for its blue grottos and prehistoric settlements. On this island, you will enjoy a tasty lunch. In addition, you will visit a sheep farm and in the evening you can enjoy a sumptuous running buffet prepared by the locals. On the west coast of Filicudi, you can visit the Grotta del Bue Marino. With a little luck, you will see the sun's rays on the water, transforming the cave into a beautiful natural theatre.

Day 6: From Filicudi to Lipari

Today you will set sail for the largest island of this archipelago, Lipari. You will drop anchor at spiaggia Bianca di pomici. The overnight stay will be in the port of Lunga. Here you may once again join a wine tasting. You can also enjoy Sicilian delicacies in a traditional Italian restaurant. In addition, you can visit the 13th-century cathedral. Or wander through the cosy stares to discover other treasures left behind by history.

Day 7: From Lipari to Portorosa

On the last day of sailing, you will visit Faraglioni on your way back to Portorosa. Here you can admire the famous Capi rock formation. In the afternoon, you will arrive back in Portorosa, where you can enjoy a nice dinner with the culinary wine flotilla sailors. If time permits, you can visit the beautiful vineyards of Azienda Agricola Cambria in Furnari. Here you can taste local cheese and various Sicilian wines. You'll also find stunning views of Portorosa from the vineyard. You will sleep on the yacht for the last time, to enjoy a calm morning in the harbour the next day.
