One of these treasures in the magical region of Istria is the ancient city of Pula. For 3,000 years, this city has inspired and enchanted sailors from all over the world. Known as the sailing paradise of Croatia, the city's favorable location, breathtaking beauty and unique history only add to its appeal. Like many others, we have fallen under the spell of Pula and the Istrian peninsula. With this sailing route from Pula, we would like to invite you into this dream world. You will embark on an adventure to many different islands and immerse yourself in the culture, history, and nature of Croatia. We can guarantee that you will love this magical experience as much as we do.
Day 1 : Pula - Brijuni National Park
Before you start your exciting sailing trip, you can take a moment to enjoy the breathtaking Pula. This ancient city full of Mediterranean charm has a lot to offer. But don't worry: you'll be back at the end of the week, so you'll have another chance to explore the city. We recommend that you start with some of the most beautiful places: Cross the Arc de Triomphe on your way to the ancient Temple of Augustus. If you have enough time, a visit to the Roman amphitheatre is a must, as it has become the symbol of Pula.
After the first highlight of this sailing trip, we board the boat and sail towards the Brijuni National Park, which is about 5 nautical miles away. This park consists of 14 islands, and we recommend the largest island of Veli Brijun for an overnight stay. Here you can go cycling and take long walks along the island's breathtaking paths.
Day 2: Veli Brijun - Susak

After a fantastic start, things are about to get even better. On the second day of this trip, the sailing route is definitely longer, but still very pleasant, as you pass the southern tip of the Istrian peninsula and the vacation resort of Premantura before reaching the island of Susak. This island, about 28 nautical miles away, is the perfect place to relax and enjoy the summer.
The entire area is known for its enchanting hidden bays, secluded beaches with golden sand and deep blue water. Here you can take a whole day to relax. Some swimming, sunbathing and nature watching are also recommended activities in Susak, as the view here is undoubtedly one of the most beautiful in Croatia.
Day 3: Susak - Premuda
Our next destination on the sailing route from Pula is the small island of Premuda. A major advantage of this island is that it is very close to Zadar. An excursion there is therefore also possible. You leave the Lošinj archipelago and Susak and sail 18 nautical miles until you reach this rugged island. Famous for its pine trees and evergreen vegetation, this place is perfect for long walks and relaxation in unspoiled nature.
On Premuda there are many bays and small harbors surrounded by charming traditional taverns. The island is also perfect for diving enthusiasts. There is a special place on the island called „Katedrala“: This is a system of huts with specially installed lights that create a unique atmosphere.
Day 4: Premuda - Dugi Otok

After you have enjoyed the pine scent of Premuda, sail south to Dugi Otok. This island, known as the „long island“, is only 15 nautical miles away. On the way there you can see the islands of Škarda, Ist and Molat, which you are also welcome to explore. In Dugi Otok, you have the choice of anchoring in the large bay of Sakarun or sailing on to Veli Rat, where you will find a small but modern marina.
Veli Rat is known for its lighthouse - the Punta Bjanca. While Dugi Otok itself is characterized by the steep cliffs, vineyards and the Telašćica Nature Park at the southern end.
Day 5: Dugi Otok - Silba
The fifth day has begun and takes you to the island of pristine beaches and ultimate relaxation - Silba. There you can head for the small marina of Mul or the popular harbor of Porat Sv. Ante. The island is known for its perfectly soft sand and pebble beaches, which have so far remained untouched by mass tourism. You can reach these beautiful paradises on foot via a small path.
The most popular beaches are Sotorisce Beach on the south side of the island and the rocky beach in Pocukmarak Bay. Take the day to enjoy the warm turquoise waters. An exciting activity you can do here is to climb the Tower of Love. It was created to immortalize the love between a Croatian captain and his young wife. If that isn't the perfect destination for your honeymoon?
Day 6: Silba - Lošinj

The next day of the Pula sailing route takes us back to the Lošinj archipelago. This time we will visit the island itself. Lošinj, known as the „Island of Vitality“, is a place where nature takes center stage with the scent of flowers and herbs. On this island too, you can choose between the smaller marinas in Veli Lošinj or the large bay of Artatore.
The island of Lošinj prides itself on the development of its health tourism, which is a great advantage. You can enjoy more than 250 km of walking, hiking and cycling trails. Discover the breathtaking nature of Croatia and enjoy the wonderful scent of flowering fields. Even if you choose Artatore, you will not be disappointed as there are many traditional restaurants offering local dishes. In addition, the village is known for its hospitality and authentic culture. So if you want to get to know the people of Croatia, this is the place to do it.
Day 7: Lošinj - Pula
Unfortunately, the last day of sailing from Pula has now arrived. At the end of this fantastic week, it's time to sail back to Pula. Enjoy these last moments on the water and breathe in the refreshing breeze. On the way back you also have the opportunity to make a short stop on one of the islands that you missed the first time.
In addition, once you have returned your chartered yacht to Pula, you will have a second opportunity to enjoy the beauty and exciting history of this city. If you are staying here, we recommend an evening at Konoba Medeja. The excellent wine list and typical regional dishes will win you over. This also allows you to experience the beauty of Pula under the night sky, which is the perfect end to a fantastic sailing trip.
