Croatia offers beautiful sailing and Split is perfect as a starting point. Because of the islands this region has to offer, you have the option of taking shelter between them, but you can also take the longer trips. In this article, we will highlight a beautiful sailing itinerary from Split where the multiple islands you will visit include Hvar, Brač, Korčula and Vis.

Day 1 – Saturday | Split – Brač [10 nautical miles]

The first stop on this sailing route from Split is Brač. This island is known for its white beach Zlatni Rat, also called the Golden Cape. It is the perfect place for all those who love windsurfing. In addition, the island's main town offers you a beautiful beach to relax and unwind.

Day 2 – Sunday | Brač – Vis [20 nautical miles]

Vis is one of the most mysterious islands in Croatia, even for the locals. It is divided between two small towns at the foot of two bays: Vis town in the north-east and Komiža, a fishing village in the south-west with moorings at the communal dock.

Day 3 – Monday | Vis – Lastovo [35 nautical miles]

On the small island of Lastovo lies the bay of Zakloptica. It is a sheltered bay with a few restaurants and moorings. You can also moor in front of the village dock. Skrivena Luka Bay is a small private marina and is also ideal for anchoring.

Day 5 – Wednesday | Korčula – Hvar [32 nautical miles]

Marina in Hvar

Hvar is a very famous place: situated on a bay, this 13th-century town has traffic-free streets. It has a beautiful market square, lots of beaches and you can even go partying at night if you wish.

The marina "Marina Palmižana" is located in a nature park, just five minutes by water taxi from Hvar. Vinogradišče is also a good anchorage. There are many other anchorages off Hvar on the Pakleni Islands.

The sixth day takes you to the beautiful island of Šolta. On the north-east coast you will find Stomorska, Rogač and Nečujam, the three most popular villages on the island.
