The Flotilla Guidance

Of course, a successful sailing holiday depends on the weather, the sun, the sea and the flotilla guidance. In addition to conviviality, safety is of course critical during the sailing holiday.

During the Krka flotilla, professional English-speaking guidance is available on the mothership, who are always ready for mooring and anchoring. These flotilla leaders may also be residents, but will always have good English language skills. In addition, they plot the route (with input from the participants) and monitor the weather for everyone. Of course, they enjoy it a lot themselves and are always looking forward to giving you a great experience in Croatia as well.

Boats in the Marina Agana.

Day 1

Check in in Marina Agana
Marina Agana is a typical Croatian fishing village, made up of traditional white stone houses surrounding a sparkling Agana marina. Marina Agana is only a 20-minute drive from Split Airport. While waiting for boarding after check-in, guests can have lunch at one of the restaurants, stock up on supplies or simply head to the beach with a coffee or cocktail. Get ready for an exciting trip to Krka National Park.

Day 2

Marina Agana - Maslinica, Šolta
Swing west out of the bay at Agana and begin your first day of sailing. You pass the islands of Drvenik Veli and Drvenik Mali on the starboard side, eventually arriving in the picture-perfect harbour town of Maslinica. Head to the nearby beaches and bathing plateaus, ideal for a refreshing swim or explore the small kiosks for wine, honey, liquor and other local produce.

Day 3

Maslinica - Kaprije
From Maslinica, you wind into the Adriatic, keeping the islands of Drvenik Veli and Drvenik Mali and the small atolls around the island of Arkanđel to starboard. Navigate around the countless small islands and atolls that characterize the Dalmatian coast. You will arrive in Kaprije just in time to enjoy a drink at a waterside bar.

Day 4

Kaprije - Skradin
Point your bow east until you reach the mouth of the Krka River. Motor upstream and bask in some of Croatia's most spectacular scenery en route to picturesque Skradin. Skradin is known as the gateway to Krka Falls National Park for a reason, and from here you can take a National Park boat further inland to see the spectacular falls for yourself. Krka National Park is a network of lakes, rivers and waterfalls that represent some of the most spectacular scenery in all of Croatia - this is an opportunity not to be missed.

Day 5

Free sailing day
The free sailing day is your chance to set your own agenda and explore the Adriatic on your own or with a small group of friends. Choose to continue the day exploring Krka National Park - after all, a day hardly seems enough - or sail to the nearby islands of Zlarin or Prvić. Make the most of your free sailing day and enjoy the peaceful beauty of the Šibenik region. For those looking to rack up the miles, head to Kornati Islands National Park and practice tacking and jibes between small islands and reefs.

Day 6

Rogoznica
Meet your flotilla friends in the large, sheltered harbour of Rogoznica in time for a drink at a waterfront bar. Buy fresh fish straight from the local fishing boats as they arrive in port each morning, or get to know your flotilla companions over a pivo (beer).

Day 7

Rogoznica - Marina Agana
On the last day of your Krka flotilla holiday, you will depart from Rogoznica back to Marina. Sail south from Rogoznica, keeping the small atolls around Arkanđel Island on your port side, then turn north when you reach Drvenik Mali, along the headland until you arrive again at Agana marina. Spend your last evening chatting with your flotilla friends at one of the many waterfront restaurants or sipping a cocktail as the sun sets.
