Enjoy Greece During the May Holiday

In the Tubber Flotilla Athens during the May holidays, we sail to the Saronic islands of Aegina, Poros and Hydra.

It is a perfect sailing area for short distances. There is often a constant and reliable wind and beautiful islands, with wind force between 3 and 5 Beaufort.

The flotilla in Athens starts on Saturday from Alimos, the largest marina in Athens. You can rent a bareboat sailing yacht and sail yourself in the flotilla with a Dutch or Greek skipper.

There are also more flotillas in the spring and also in the fall! Want even more sun? Then check out the flotilla offer for the summer from Athens.

Athens and the Saronic Gulf

The beauty of the Saronic Gulf is that it has everything.

From quiet coves and private beaches to bustling seaside resorts and bays with a lot of boating traffic where there is much to do.

During a flotilla holiday in Greece, most sailors start on the west coast due to the moderate sailing climate, but you really don't have to be afraid of the Saronic Gulf. Yes, the wind is a bit stronger there than on the west coast, but that's just perfect.

Fly easily to Athens and discover the flotilla holidays in Athens inexpensively and in peace during the May holiday.

Day 1

Check in Alimos / Athens
On Saturday, you can check in at Alimos after your flight; we don't leave until Sunday. Take plenty of time for the check-in and take an Uber to the centre of Athens or Piraeus. A meeting and reception will be in Tubber's temporary office on the harbour. At 5 pm, you can board your sailing yacht or catamaran.
The amphitheater of Epidavros in the Peloponnese.

Day 2

Athens - Epidaurus
After the skipper's briefing with a nice cup of coffee, we set sail. During the day you can anchor in one of the beautiful bays for a lovely swim (sometimes a bit fresh) or snorkelling. In Epidaurus, you can visit the beautiful amphitheatre. It is known as the best-preserved theatre from Greek antiquity.

Day 3

Epidaurus - Vathy
In the morning you will have time to explore the village of Epidaurus and buy fresh bread rolls. Around noon we sail to Vathy on the Methana peninsula. Vathy is a picturesque village with many small restaurants. It is located on the open sea, so the water here is very clean.
The town of Poros in Greece where the sailing yachts of the flotilla are moored.

Day 4

Vathy - Poros
Poros is cosy and picturesque; the residents here rely on the tourists, but somehow they manage to keep it authentic. The small streets are still being swept clean with a dustpan. Here you can rent a scooter or a bicycle to enjoy the view higher up the mountain. Or take a walk between the old houses under overhanging flowers. Of course, there is plenty of time for real Greek cuisine and a drink on the terrace or your aft deck.

Day 5

Poros - Perdika
Perdika is a village on the beautiful Greek island of Aegina. On the way to Perdika, you have the best chance of spotting Dolphins. There is plenty of time to anchor somewhere for a spring swim or a delicious lunch.

Day 6

Perdika - Korfos
This small harbour town is located on a beautiful bay. You can enjoy the view and the sunset from the terrace or your cockpit.

Day 7

Korfos - Athens
