During the Kefalonia flotilla, professional English-speaking guides are present on the mother ship and are always on standby when mooring and unmooring. They also plot the route (with input from the participants) and keep an eye on the weather for everyone.

Day 1

Check-in Lefkada
Start your flotilla holiday in the traditional Greek village of Lefkada. Enveloped by the emerald Ionian, Lefkada is draped in miles of heavenly beaches famous across the Greek islands. Meet the rest of your flotilla companions and explore Lefkada's narrow lanes or head to the beaches along the west coast. From vast arches of unbroken sand to secluded, white stone shores, beaches of every shape and size await you.

Day 2

Lefkada - Sivota
We leave Lefkada behind and set sail for charming Sivota, along the island's breathtaking coastline. Along the way, numerous enchanting bays await you, ideal for a refreshing dip in crystal-clear waters. As you sail past the iconic island of Skorpios, stop at the bay to the south, where Aristotle Onassis once built a beach house for Jackie Kennedy. A piece of history to dream away at! And after a day full of discoveries, we will end the evening with a cosy group meal - the perfect way to share stories and adventures.

Day 3

Sivota - Fiskardo
Today, we set sail for the legendary Kefalonia! As you sail a few miles on open water, you will feel the excitement of the wind and the freedom of the sea. This island is an icon in Greece, famous for the story of Captain Corelli, its delicious olive oil and rich history dating back centuries. You will arrive at the port of Fiscardo, a classic Greek village where the charm of the past can still be felt. Today, you'll find atmospheric restaurants and cosy tavernas, perfect for spending a relaxing afternoon with your new travel companions. A place where tradition and enjoyment come together!

Day 4

Fiskardo - Agia Effimia
Located on the beautiful island of Kefalonia, Agia Effemia is a gem that invites every sailor to discover its picturesque charm and clear blue waters. As you approach this serene harbour, you will see the emerald green hues of the Ionian Sea contrasting perfectly with the lush, rolling hills in the background. The calm waters around Agia Effemia make it an ideal destination for relaxed sailing, but a glance at the local weather forecast remains important. The dominant winds in this area tend to be light to moderate, making for pleasant and carefree sailing conditions. Do allow for the occasional strong gust of wind, especially in the summer months - that sometimes makes the challenge just a little more exciting!

Agia Eufimia - free sailing day
Today is your day to shine. Put your sailing skills to the test and gain confidence on the water with your free sailing day. Set off for the secluded bays and harbours scattered across the Ionian Sea, stopping at sleepy fishing villages along the way or just relaxing. It's entirely up to you. Whatever you choose, your lead crew will be on hand to give you top tips and the latest weather reports.

Day 6

Vathi
Vathi is the lively main port of charming Meganisi, a small island just east of Lefkada. Here, fishing boats and sailing yachts lie side by side, surrounded by picturesque, natural surroundings that immediately capture the imagination. The harbour is the beating heart of the village, where you will find cosy tavernas, cosy cafés and local shops along the waterfront. This is the place to enjoy delicious Greek cuisine - taste the authentic flavours and experience the hospitality of the locals. A perfect stop for any sailor who loves good food and an atmospheric, relaxed setting!

Day 7

Vathi - Lefkada
Tonight we close our last evening in style! The main boat will host a dinner or drinks ashore, where we will award prizes for the week's best moments and activities. Tomorrow we return to base to deliver your yacht again, but that doesn't mean the adventure is already over. Along the way, still fully enjoy the beautiful sailing and stunning scenery that Lefkada has to offer.

Where does the Kefalonia flotilla depart from?

The Kefalonia flotilla departs from Lefkada town. Here, you have the public port and Lefkada Main Port, where most of Tubber's partners are located. Lefkada can be easily reached from Preveza Airport. From here, it is about a 30-minute taxi ride. Tubber can help you arrange a transfer with our new service.

When does the Kefalonia flotilla sail?

The Kefalonia flotilla departs from early June and sails out every week. In mid-September, the flotilla sails out for the last time.

Do I need a boating licence to join a flotilla?

When you go bareboat sailing in Greece, you do not need a valid sailing licence - although this is being looked into more and more, but still varies per charter company. If you want to sail in our flotilla, or under the supervision of a skipper on your yacht, you do not need a valid sailing licence. We can prepare a certificate (CV) with sailing experience for you that is accepted locally.

Is the Kefalonia Flotilla suitable for children?

Yes! We at Tubber often call Lefkada and its surroundings the beginner's area for sailors. The sailing conditions are very favourable and the area lends itself perfectly to a bit of sailing, catching a bay and another bit of sailing. So this is ideal for sailing with (young) children! There is also plenty to do, and many young adults can indulge in the many places of entertainment.

What are the average daily distances of the Kefalonia flotilla?

Average daily distances during the Kefalonia flotilla are between 13 miles. Off-season (when fewer children come along), longer day distances are often scheduled. All subject to weather conditions and the wishes of the group, of course.

Which bays, islands and ports will the Kefalonia flotilla visit?

Do I sail independently in a Flotilla or always with the group?

In the flotilla, you sail under the enjoyment and convenience of an experienced mother ship. You are not expected to constantly sail in a group. Feel free to take a dip in a self-discovered bay, for example.
