Flotilla Sailing from Fethiye

Flotilla sailing in Turkey starts in Fethiye and you will never regret coming here! Flotilla sailing in the Fethiye area is a great alternative to ports such as Marmaris or Bodrum. Fethiye is a beautiful town on the Aegean coast, with beautiful ruins in the old part of the city, like the old castle. It has a modern harbor, which is hidden against the mountainside. Fethiye is a good example of the ports in Turkey: they are clean and run by professional staff.

Sailing Turkey

You sail short distances from Fethiye to Gocek, Kalkan, Kas, or Kekova Roads, known for the sarcophagi. As a result, the coastline that will be visited during the flotilla will be experienced as an ancient and cultural trip! Experience the local Turks' beauty and hospitality during this wonderful flotilla in the south-west of Turkey! The climate in Turkey is comparable to Greece, sometimes slightly warmer and with dry summers. The wind force is between 4 and 6 Beaufort and the cooling breeze makes Turkey a wonderful place for your perfect flotilla sailing holiday!

Example route

This route is an example route. The route can be changed based on factors like the weather.

Day 1

Arrival in Fethiye
The first day you arrive in Fethiye. This day you can first relax after your ride or flight. Get on board your yacht and get acquainted with the flotilla group. Today we won't sail so there is time to explore Fethiye and maybe do some shopping. In the evening we go out for dinner in one of the restaurants.

Day 2

Fethiye - Kapi Creek
Sunday morning we start with a briefing in the MOD restaurant in the harbour. Here the flotilla leader runs briefly through the route, the destination for today, what the weather looks like and other things worth knowing. We leave on our yachts and sail to Kapi Creek. Its the first day, so everybody first needs to get used to their yachts. After a while, we set sail to our destination of today. We arrive at a sheltered bay in the middle of a forest. Kapi Creek is one of the many lagoons that can only be reached by boat. Here we can explore the beautiful surroundings. There are old ruins which you can reach within an hour by foot. If you don't fancy a long walk, then you can always relax on your yacht and enjoy this beautiful scenery. In the evening we go for a nice dinner in a cosy restaurant, ashore.

Day 3

Kapi Creek - Ciftlik
Today the longest route of the flotilla is planned. We sail 36 nautical miles from Kapi Creek to Ciftlik. Upon arrival, you will see the beautiful sandy beach and also the restaurant where we will have dinner later that evening. From the restaurant you have a beautiful view of the harbour, together with the food, it's a great moment to enjoy and relax. There is also a small supermarket. Here you can stock up on some small groceries.

Day 4

Ciftlik - Bozukkale
The next morning we make the trip from Ciftlik to Bozukkale. The bay is unique, because of all the ruins that are scattered around. The restaurant where we will eat this evening is only accessible by boat. It is also a short walk from the quay to the ruins of the citadel. A small shop floats on the water where you can buy handmade products.

Day 5

Bozukkale - Dirsek
Dirsek is the next destination on the route. After a lovely day of sailing, we arrive in this beautiful bay. This bay can only be reached by boat and has only a few facilities. However, there is a good restaurant that is known for its famous jumbo prawns baked with garlic and various seafood. The bay of Dirsek is perfect for swimming. Later in the evening, after we have eaten delicious food, you can experience an incredible starry sky with clear skies.

Day 6

Dirsek - Datça
The Datca peninsula is a beautiful port city with many bays. This small city is the perfect place to do some necessary shopping. The town has many shops, and so we can get well prepared the next day.

Day 7

Datça - Sailors’ Paradise
Again we arrive at a bay that can only be reached by boat. Sailors Paradise does not detract from its name - it looks like a beautiful postcard. In addition to the beautiful view, there is a lovely restaurant that is run by a friendly team of residents. There are also several beautiful bays for swimming.

Day 8

Sailors’ Paradise - Selimiye
After a few days with longer sailing routes, we have planned a shorter one for today. With the shortest way of the flotilla, just seven nautical miles, we leave for Selimiye. A small fishing village lies in a large bay and is sheltered by hills with a dense pine forest. With today's short distance, there is enough time to relax on our yachts, swim and just take it easy and relax.

Day 9

Selimiye - Soğut
The next location is Soğut - a breathtaking place. A snorkel set is highly recommended for this location! From the beach, it is a short swim to a place where you can see ancient amphoras (Greek & Roman storage vessels). Please do not touch them, they are very porous, besides it is forbidden to bring antiques from Turkey. In the evening we have dinner at the restaurant on the beach.

Day 10

Soğut - Serçe
From beautiful Soğut we will leave for Serçe. This bay cuts deep into the country and is, therefore, a perfect anchorage point. This place is surrounded by mountains which shelter you from the wind. It is an ideal place just to enjoy the sea and the sun.

Day 11

Serçe - Ekincik
Today we sail 30 nautical miles to Ekincik. After our trip, we arrive at a beautiful bay. An exciting excursion to Kaunos is offered from here. With this excursion you take a boat through the river delta along the turtle beach, the ruins of Kaunos, The rock tombs of Dalyan, mud baths and a freshwater lake. With the flotilla, we moor at "My Marina" here the yachts are safe.

Day 12

Ekincik - Aşı Koyu
After yesterday's route, we choose for a slightly shorter route. We set sail to the bay of Aşı Koyu, a wonderfully quiet bay where you can unwind. Due to the high mountains that surround the bay, there is no phone reception so you can enjoy this place to the fullest. Near the beach, there is a good restaurant where we can enjoy the food in the evening.

Day 13

Aşı Koyu - Sarsala
After our sailing trip today, we arrive at one of our favourite bays. The water is beautifully blue, and the food in the restaurant is excellent. The entire bay is like a painting, and when you walk up the mountain, you will find one of the best views - a view worth capturing.

Day 14

Sarsala - Fethiye
The last sailing day of our two-week flotilla has arrived. We are sailing back to Fethiye. With the wind in our sails, we cover our final miles to the finish, Fethiye. In recent weeks we have discovered beautiful bays, sailed magnificent distances and enjoyed good food. On arrival in Fethiye, we will go out for dinner once more. We talk about the fantastic weeks we've had and prepare for our last night on our yachts later that evening.
