This sailing holiday is designed especially for families

This flotilla sailing holiday sets off from Šibenik in Croatia. It's tailor-made for families, but of course, everyone is welcome to join the flotilla, from seasoned sailors to newcomers. The journey takes you past beautiful islands, picturesque towns, and tranquil bays where you can anchor with ease.
The departure marina in Šibenik is conveniently situated between Zadar and Split airports, less than a 45-minute drive from both. If you're driving from the Netherlands, it's about 1600 km from the centre of the country. The marina offers sailors an idyllic base and a captivating environment. Located on the Krka River, in the heart of the Krka Waterfalls Park, Marina Mandalina serves as a picturesque starting point for sailing adventures in Croatia.
Leaving the Krka River and traversing the Šibenik Channel, you enter the enchanting realm of the Kornati Islands. With around 140 islets, this archipelago is a true paradise for sailors, featuring secluded bays, sheltered harbours, and scenic villages along the coastline.
The area around Šibenik invites sailors to enjoy the natural beauty, the rich maritime history, and the authentic charm of the nearby coastal towns. It's a region that will enchant both seasoned sailors and newcomers to the sailing world!

Sailing Climate in Croatia

The sailing climate in Croatia is characterized by warm summers with pleasant temperatures ranging between 25 and 35 degrees Celsius, favourable wind conditions, and predominantly sunny weather. The Adriatic Sea often offers stable sailing conditions with variable wind strength, making it an ideal destination for both experienced sailors and beginners. The multitude of islands and sheltered bays along the coastline provide diverse sailing opportunities, making Croatia a popular destination for sailing enthusiasts. Tubber Flotilla Leaders

Of course, the success of a sailing holiday depends on the weather, the sun, the sea, and the guidance of the Tubber Dutch flotilla team. During the flotilla, they are always present on the mothership and ready to assist during mooring and unmooring. In addition, they plan the route (with input from participants) and keep an eye on the weather for everyone. They, of course, derive a lot of enjoyment from this and are always eager to provide you with a fantastic experience in Croatia. Fiona and Martin will be guiding the two-week flotilla from Šibenik this year.

Martin & Fiona are a couple who have been sailing together for about eight years, primarily in the Netherlands, where they also gained experience as flotilla leaders. They sold their own boat in the Netherlands and started last year at Tubber as flotilla leaders, which was a fantastic experience! Last year, they led the flotilla from Skradin, so they now know the area like the back of their hand. Martin is knowledgeable about sailing and everything related to the boat, wind, and water, while Fiona will take on more of the organizational side during the flotillas. They are really looking forward to exploring the Croatian coast and the Adriatic Sea with you!

When docking, make sure not to confuse your boat with a sheep – the sheep here are as curious as they look!
