From the traditional blue and white houses of Mykonos to the picturesque sights of Paros, each destination will provide something unique. The only thing you have to do is pack your adventurous spirit and hop on board because this is the sailing holiday of a lifetime. Let’s dive in….

Day One – Athens, Alimos Marina

One of the most significant advantages of starting this sailing holiday from Athens is the fact that Alimos Marina, where your charter yacht will be waiting for you, is easy and fast. If you take a taxi, the trip won’t be longer than half an hour, and with many flights daily you can arrange this journey perfectly.

You can take your time here and enjoy one of the most beautiful and historical cities in Greece. Alimos marina offers a number of bars, top tier restaurants, and supermarkets. This is the perfect moment to stock for the trip and explore one of the largest marinas in Greece.

Day Two – From Athens to Kythnos - 40NM

Are you ready for this dream sailing holiday to begin? Then head to the island of Kythnos. While sailing, there prepare to witness one of the most beautiful sights on earth. Colorful flowers, sky blue waters, golden beaches, and majestic caves. This is what Kythnos has in store for you.

In addition, Merichas marina situated on the west coast of the island offers ideal amenities. The port has both a dock and a small pier. Stopping around the island to swim in the picturesque bays is also possible.

Day Three – From Kythnos to Syros - 20NM

Next, on this dream sailing itinerary around the Cyclades, we head towards the island of Syros. This is the place that will offer you that “off the beaten track” experience. The charming villages of Syros are the home of spectacular bright buildings and blooming culture.

The place we recommend to visit is Finikas, situated on the southwest coast of the island. This is where you will find peace and quiet, charming taverns and coffee shops. Furthermore, it’s a great place to anchor since it offers excellent protection from the Meltemi.

Day Four – From Syros to Mykonos - 18NM

The next day of this fantastic journey brings us to the one and only Mykonos Island. Famous for its stunning white houses and nightlife, this island is a place that must be visited at least once in a lifetime. There is plenty of options to anchor here. You can go for the Old Port Harbor, situated right in the center of everything or decide to enjoy the beautiful beaches while you anchor in the Aghia Anna Bay.

Day Five – From Mykonos to Kea - 44NM

Next on our list is the bay of Agios Nikolaos, located on the northeast side of Kea. An interesting fact about Agios Nikolaos is that it is one of the safest naturally formed harbors in all of the Aegean Sea. Furthermore, the island itself is stunning. From ancient ruins and old churches to the charming villages filled with friendly locals. This is the perfect place to take amazing pictures with windmills and towers in the background. Enjoy your time here and prepare to be amazed since there is plenty to explore and the beaches are to die for.

Day Six – From Kea to Sounion - 12NM

Day Six will bring us to the southernmost point of mainland Greece. Sounion was fortified to protect the city of Athens and is also the home of the Temple of Poseidon. This Temple of the god of seas rests on the top of the cliffs. The perfect place to relax and watch the breathing sunset. Sounion is further known for its historic buildings and free spirit. We cannot think of a more wholesome place to lay back, swim, and enjoy summer.

Day Seven – From Sounion to Athens - 25NM

This Sailing Itinerary of the Cyclades ends back in the city of Athens. Once you return your yacht, you still have time to enjoy Alimos Marina and the beautiful yachts that anchor there. And no worries, with such a big and beautiful city, there is definitely more to explore. We recommend you visit “Dinner in the Sky”. A fine-dining restaurant, which is one of the best in Athens and offers a truly unique experience.
