Rent a X-Yachts for your carefree sailing holiday
Here at Tubber, we’re proud to introduce x-yachts charter—a Danish yacht builder known for combining true sailing performance with refined comfort and long-distance capability. X-Yachts has been building in Denmark since 1979, with headquarters in Haderslev (Southern Jutland) and a reputation shaped by decades of racing heritage and quality-focused production. X-Yachts was founded in 1979 by Lars Jeppesen, Niels Jeppesen, and Birger Hansen.
From the moment you step onboard, X-Yachts feel purposeful: responsive at the helm, stable in a seaway, and designed for sailors who value performance and comfort. X-Yachts’ story is rooted in competitive sailing, through the 1980s the shipyard designed and built winning IOR race yachts, and that DNA still shows in their modern performance cruisers. The beginning of X-Yachts traces back to the launch of the X-79 in 1979, which was the Danish answer to the J/24, Albin Express, and Maxi 80 Racer. The X-79 received early recognition and award distinctions, establishing the brand’s achievements and reputation for excellence from the very beginning.
A big part of what makes X-Yachts stand out is build approach and engineering detail. For example, X-Yachts highlights advanced composite methods like vacuum infusion and post-curing (“oven-baking”) for structural performance, and notes that from 2019 onward Xc models also adopted epoxy infusion in the hull. The result is a yacht that feels consistent, solid, and particularly well suited to confident charter sailing.
